Provincetown, MA

One of my favorite towns!

What to Do When in Ptown

  • Check out what's happening on http://www.provincetown.com
  • See all my Ptown reviews on http://kdrummey.yelp.com
  • Stay at Heritage House (see reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp)
  • Take yoga on the Boatslip Deck with Will Coons (or at Yoga East in the off season). It's yoga, the beach, and comedy all wrapped up in one.
  • Get takeout fish from Native Cape Cod Seafood or a Mexican at Big Daddy's burritos and take it to the deck at Aqua Bar
  • Grab a burger at The Squealing Pig or Patio
  • Go for the scallops at Central House
  • Get the Real Margarita at El Mundo
  • Get a beer at Pepe's or Harbor Bar on the water
  • Get the Lobster Risotto at The Mews
  • Grab a workout at Ptown Gym, especially the dance class from the guy from Naked Boys Singing and channel your inner Lady Gaga
  • Get a new do from Gerald at Snips Salon
  • Spend a day at Herring Cove Beach. They have bathrooms, a bath house, and a concession stand.
  • Ride a bike through the dunes: hilly and challenging, old clunky cruiser bikes are likely to leave you walking
  • Stop in the Visitor Center on the bike trail to get a view of the ocean and maybe some whales and see the free film about the whaling industry and the start of the Coast Guard
  • Listen to WOMR radio
  • Catch a show. Shows I've been to in 2011:
  • Stories I Can't Tell Mama with Leslie Jordam A+
  • Check out Now Voyager Bookstore-they have some books signed by the authors (I picked up a signed copy of John Waters' Role Models-some parts really made me giggle!)
  • Visit the farmers' market
  • In the winter there isn't much going on compared to the summer, but if you come on a holiday or Valentine's weekend, there is can be enough people for a good buzz or a quiet getaway. A lot of the shops have sales, but I make it a rule not to go in unless there are other people in the store. I've had too many store owners following me around asking me, "Did you hear about the sale?"
